The Plymouth Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 195 is gearing up for this year’s Show With A Cop and Emergency Responders program which takes a number children shopping before the holiday, donates gift cards to senior citizens and provides gifts to some of the clients of Marshall Starke Development Center.
While no one knows what will happen with COVID-19, FOP 195 is planning on conducting the 11th annual Shop With A Cop Radio Auction on WTCA on Friday, December 4th.
Volunteers and FOP members are currently out gathering donations for the radio auction. There will be all kinds of gift certificates for services such as haircuts and massages. You find certificates for a septic pump, food and car detailing.
One of the larger donations comes from Jamie and PeeWee Warren owners of Lyon’s Wrecker Service. They have donated a 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan SE. This 7 passenger van has 136,000 miles, operates on flex fuel and a new battery and tires and a black metal flake paint job.
This vehicle will be on the all-day Big Board for the auction and it is anticipated this donations will allow Plymouth FOP 195 to take 20 to 30 or more children shopping for winter apparel and a toy. The van is being sold in as is condition.
