On Sunday, October 18th at approximately 1:00 A.M. Deputy Bennett with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a battery occurring at a residence in the 15000 block of Lilac Road. Upon arriving Deputy Bennett made contact with a female subject with a black eye and broken nose along with a male subject whom she claimed battered her. Further investigation led to the arrest of male subject identified as 33 year old, Harry Bobb of Argos. Bobb was transported and booked in the Marshall County Jail where he was held on the charge of Domestic Battery with bond set at $505.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
