The president of Marian University recently came to Ancilla to speak with faculty and staff about the recent collaboration of mission and operations of the two schools. The move was one that should prove to benefit both Marian and Ancilla who share very common values in education. After a two-year search and negotiations, Ancilla’s trustees made the strategic decision that their future as a two-year college would be much more expansive in partnership with another institution than it would be alone.
Beginning July 1, 2021 Ancilla College will be known as Ancilla College of Marian University. The partnership will allow for expanded degree programs, internship and externship opportunities, as well as experiences for students on both campuses.
This collaboration allows Ancilla College to remain in the rural, beautiful setting we all love and continue to serve those from the surrounding communities and region. Ancilla’s continued presence is greatly needed in this geographical area to offer strategic initiatives that demand collaboration, new thinking, and immersion with regional businesses and industries.
