No Visitors Due to COVID-19Marshall County Health Officer, Dr. Byron Holm has issued a recommendation to long-term care facilities across the county.

With the rise in COVID-19 cases Holm believes these care facilities should cease all patient visitation.

In a recent news release Holm said, “Protection of our most vulnerable population is of upmost importance at this time.  While we understand this is difficult for the residents and their families, it is necessary to keep facilities, residents and staff safe during this pandemic.”

While this is only a recommendation to long-term care facilities, the County Health Officer is going to keep this recommendation in place until he believes that it will be safe for those living in these facilities and only then will he rescind the recommendation.
