Mug_Shot troy antonidesOn Sunday, October 11th at 12:37 A.M. Deputy Bennett with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department responded to 11000 block of Upas Road in reference to a stabbing.
Upon arrival a male victim with a stab wound to his abdomen was located and transported to St. Joe Regional Hospital by Plymouth Medics. He was later transported to Memorial Hospital in South Bend for treatment to his injuries and was later released.
Back at the scene Deputies located the suspect of the stabbing and was identified as 50 year old, Troy Allen Antonides of Kendallville. Mr. Antonides was subsequently taken into custody at the conclusion of the investigation. Antonides was transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was held on the felony charge of Battery-Committed with a Deadly Weapon with bond set at $1,505.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
