BudgetThe Marshall County Council meets Monday morning, October 12th at 9 a.m. in the second floor meeting room of the County Building.

The agenda for the meeting includes Todd Samuelson from Baker Tilly and local attorney Ken Lukenbill who will be updating the council on the Culver Union Twp. Library Board who plans to issue a General Obligations Bond.  Sheriff Matt Hassel will present his request to apply for grants to purchase a FARO 3D scanner which will allow crash investigators to clear a scene in about 50% of the normal time.

The County Council will hear additional appropriation requests and transfer requests.  Also on the agenda is the Auditor’s report along with an amendment to the 2019-2020 Salary Ordinance and approval of the 2021 schedule of meetings.

After conducting their regular month meeting the County Council will begin the process of discussion the 2021 Budget and possible cuts or additions before approval.  They will also review and approve the East Shore Conservancy Budget and Marshall County Solid Waste Budget for next year.

The County Council meeting is open to the public although those entering the County Building must wear a mask.  The county also asks that citizen social distance during the meeting.
