Boys&GirlsClub_building exteriorThursday afternoon Andrew Fitzpatrick, CEO of The Boys and Girls Club of Marshall County sent out a release stating that one of their Plymouth members tested positive for COVID-19 this week. Other members were exposed to this situation earlier in the week.

The protocol requires them to contact the Marshall County Health Department to walk through the next steps in order keep everyone safe. The decision was made to inform all parents of members who attended earlier this week that they would need to quarantine their children for the next 14 days. A majority of their staff were also exposed to this situation.

Therefore, the decision had to be made to close the Plymouth Club until October 22nd due to all those who were exposed. It was expressed that they really wished they had a better solution but their protocol is to put safety first and decided this was the best option at this time.

Contact was immediately made to the Superintendent of Plymouth Community Schools to let him know that they were informing all parents of their children that they needed to be quarantined for the next 14 days. Mr. Fitzpatrick stated working with the health department and the local community schools, this was the safest and best decision for us at this time.
