Friday was the last day of National Assisted Living Week. And as is usual custom, Activity Director Cindy Flagg wrote a three-act skit on the premise of The 1980’s sit-com titled The Golden Girls.
This year the skit dealt with the “girls” living in an Assisted Living and how they were dealing with the world-wide pandemic.
Department Heads and staff played the Golden Girl Characters while the residents made up the Studio Audience. The “girls” antics revolved around humorous ways to wear their masks, how to deal with not getting their hair done every week and not being able to play cards or gather together in groups.
The Cast of Characters included: Resident Service Director, Diane Swygart as Sophia; Marketing Director Anna Corbett as Rose; Activity Director, Cindy Flagg, as Dorothy; and Administrator, Bryan Zehr as Stan. Maintenance Superintendent, Randy Boos and Dietary Manager, Alissa Richhart played themselves.
