On Tuesday of National Assisted Living Week residents and staff were invited to take part in an afternoon of Karaoke & Cookies. Cookies were served while participants selected the songs they wanted to sing. The biggest hit of the day were the Dietary Gals singing such favorites as “Y.M.C.A.”, “Girls Just Want To Have Fun”, “Mamma Mia” and “Dancing Queen”. Residents sang along and enjoyed watching the staff dance and play their air-guitars. Resident Patty Miller finally summoned the courage to get up and sing as long as the staff “helped her”.
The event ended with all staff and residents joining together on the song by Sister Sledge, “We Are Family”!!
