railroad Crossing ClosedMembers of the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety were notified by Street Superintendent Jim Marquardt of a railroad crossing closure later this week and early next week.

Monday evening Marquardt said the east/west railroad crossing behind the Dairy Queen will be closed either late Thursday evening or early Friday morning, September 17th or 18th and will remain closed through Tuesday, September 22nd.

The railroad crossing on Oak Drive will be closed at Jefferson Street and Lake Avenue/State Road 17 to allow improvements to be made to the crossing.  The proposed detour will have traffic using State Road 17 to Center Street.  Marquardt said local drivers will use whatever roads they want to avoid the crossing.
