Monday evening the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety opened bids to demolish the home at 701 West Lake Avenue.
Three companies submitted bids for the project. Langfeldt Excavating LLC of Plymouth had the lowest bid at $12,900 while Beaver Excavating also of Plymouth submitted a bid of $14,350. The high bid was Jackson Demolition Services of Rochester who bid $15,900. The bids were taken under advisement for review by the City Attorney and Building Inspector. The Board of Works authorized them to award the project to the lowest and most responsible bidder prior to the September 29th meeting since the weather is beginning to change and the city wants the home removed before winter.
