On Monday, August 24th at approximately 7:40 A.M. the Marshall County Sheriff`s Department received a call in reference to a suspicious vehicle in the area of the 10,000 block of 12B Road. Upon arriving to the area Deputy Bragg with the Marshall County Sheriff`s Department located the vehicle. During the course of the investigation it was determined the occupant of the vehicle identified as 31 year old, Mavrick B. Waltz of Logansport was in Possession of Methamphetamine. Mr. Waltz was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was held on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine – at least 10g with bond set at $3,005.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
