On Saturday, August 22nd at 3:58 P.M. Officer Finn with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of North Oak Drive and West Jefferson Street. During the course of the traffic stop it was found that 43 year old, Jeremy J. Spencer of Albion was operating a vehicle without a license. Mr. Spencer was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail. Spencer was held at the Marshall County Jail on charges of Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Syringe and Operating a Motor Vehicle without Ever Receiving a License with bond set at $3,005.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
