The Marshall County Commissioners approved the alley vacation request of Jose & Clara Jimenez on 11th Road in Inwood. County Plan Director Ty Adley showed an overview of the property which showed a garage that sits half on one lot and half in the alley easement. He noted that Jimenez owns the lots on both sides of the alley and that at a future date the lots will be joined into one.
The commissioners suspended the rules and passed the alley vacation on all three readings.
The commissioners also approved an inter-local agreement with the Town of Culver for their $10,000 donation to the Fund the Essentials Campaign through Crossroads Regional Planning.
Another action taken by the commissioners on Monday was approval of a purchase agreement for a new copy machine in the Treasurer’s Office. Adams Remco quoted $3,781 for the machine and $171 for maintenance with annual copies limited to 30,000.
