The home at 701 Lake Avenue will be demolished by the City of Plymouth after being determined to be unsafe.

Monday evening Keith Hammonds, the city’s building inspector, zoomed in for the meeting and told the Board of Public Works and Safety that specs are currently being written for the demolition of the vacant home.

The deeded property owner is listed on the county’s GIS at Katharine Baldwin with the Lake Avenue address although it says the property was sold at a tax sale in 2013 and again in 15.  Currently the GIS shows a 2019 Tax Sale Certificate held by the Marshall County Commissioners on the property.

City Attorney Sean Surrisi said he anticipates the city Board of Public Works accepting bids for demolition at the first meeting in September.
