The Plymouth Park Department Park Board met Monday, May 18th in a special session to discuss the opening of Day Camp and the Public Pool for the 2020 season. There was discussion about delaying opening, protocols that would need to be put in to place, and what daily operations would look like. The Park Board has decided to join many other municipalities around the State and Country in closing both Day Camp and the Pool for the 2020 season.
With the guidance put forth by the Indiana State Department of Health, Governor Holcomb, and the CDC in opening public amenities we feel as though it would be very difficult to follow while keeping our staff and patrons safe.
The Board was very reluctant to come to this decision, but the safety of our staff, residents, and visitors is our first priority.
We look forward to seeing everyone for the 2021 season and hope everyone stays well!
*Please note that as of Phase 3, which is scheduled to happen on May 24th, the ball fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, Skate Park, and Dog Park will be opened for use.
