Culver_WelcomeEffective immediately, the public beach area in Culver Park on Lake Maxinkuckee will be closed to the public. The beach area in front of the beach lodge building, and the eastern portion of the park will be closed to the public for the duration of the state of Indiana’s Stay at Home Order, Executive Order #20-18, which is currently set to last until April 20 at 11:59 p.m. These areas of the park will remain closed for as long as the stay at home order is in effect.

According to Ginny Munroe, Town Council President, “We think it’s important to be consistent with the state’s goals to prevent gatherings of 10 or more and with the state’s closure of parks and related equipment. We also don’t want to have to use staff or critical emergency personnel to continually monitor park grounds, so we would appreciate the public’s cooperation with the closure of these specific amenities. We hope that all of you and our usual summer visitors will be able to enjoy the park soon. Stay vigilant about the stay-at-home order and maybe that day will come sooner than later.”
