Marshall County Health Department logoMarshall County Health Officer, Dr. Byron Holm MD, declares the following order for all campgrounds, camp resorts, RV parks, and RV campgrounds in Marshall County, Indiana, beginning immediately and remaining in effect until May 1, 2020. The order may be extended in the interest of public safety and/or in compliance with Governor Holcomb’s Executive Orders for the State of Indiana.
Per Governor Holcomb’s Executive Order 20-08, should circumstances warrant, police have the power to issue citations or file charges. Holcomb’s executive order says penalties include, but are not limited to, those available under Indiana’s Emergency Disaster Law. Violating that law is a Class B misdemeanor, which carries a fine up to $1,000 and up to 180 days in jail.
Additionally, Marshall County Commissioners have filed a Public Health Emergency
nvokes and declares those portions of the Indiana Code which are applicable to the conditions and have caused issuance of the declaration to be in full force and effect in Marshall County for the exercise of all necessary emergency authority for protection of lives and property for the people of Marshall County.
1. All campgrounds, camp resorts, RV parks, and RV campgrounds are hereby required to
cease all operations, visits, and activities and are not open to the public and/or lot, site, RV, and cabin owners including anyone with ownership rights in any other capacity,
2. No entry is permitted by members of the public and/or lot, site, RV, and cabin owners
including anyone with ownership rights in any other capacity.
3. Campground, camp resort, RV park, and RV campground staff members are allowed
entry as needed for office and maintenance purposes.

4. Scheduling of a rental beyond the date of May 1, 2020 is permitted, but those rentals may
be canceled and/or postponed per campground, camp resort, RV park, and RV campground policy in the event the date of effect is extended.

This order is given in conjunction with the Executive Orders released by Governor Holcomb for the safety or our State and local community.
