The 2019 Construction Technology program home built by students from Plymouth High School and other schools will show off their hard work this weekend as an open house is set for the home they built this school year.
There are 11 PHS students who make up this year’s second semester of the program. However, all together students from ten nearby school corporations have the opportunity to enroll in the Construction Technology program.
This year’s home was built in the Tall Oaks subdivision at 2455 Hillcrest Avenue in Plymouth. The house is 2,100 square feet with a full basement, front and back porches, and has 3 ½ baths, four bedrooms and a three car garage.
Instructor Craig Schoof, who is in his third year of teaching the program, said the public will have the chance to see the largest home every built by the program.
The open house is scheduled for this Sunday, June 2 from 1-3 p.m.
This year’s house was priced at $325,000 and is already off the market because it has been sold.
The money raised outside of the cost of construction materials will go back to the program for next year’s house build.
