The Marshall County Council will conduct an emergency public meeting on Monday, March 26th at 9 a.m. The meeting will be held in the second floor meeting room of the County Building and will be open to the public.
The meeting has been called to discuss the financial situation of the County Highway Department due to the recent flood damage.
Jason Peters told the Marshall County Commissioner that estimated for damage to roads, bridges, culverts and drains was nearly $5 million. He also spent several hundred thousand dollars for materials, over-time man hours and rental equipment.
This will be the only item discussed as the special meeting.
