police-pursuitOn Friday, March 9, at approximately 10:13PM Officer Bennett of the Culver Police Department initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Main Street and Lakeshore Drive. The vehicle took off at a high rate of speed and Officer Bennett pursued the vehicle. The chase ended in the area of 11B Road and Muckshaw Road. Two rear seat passengers fled on foot, but were quickly apprehended. The driver and front seat passenger were removed from the vehicle and take into custody.

The rear seat passengers, 21 year old Jessica Edwards and 21 year old Kody Whiteman both of Plymouth, were transported to the Marshall County Jail and incarcerated for resisting law enforcement after being ordered to stop and possession of marijuana. The front seat passenger, 20 year old Adam Waggoner of Plymouth, was transported to the Marshall County Jail and incarcerated for possession of marijuana. The driver, 23 year old Jeffrey Howell of Plymouth, was transported to the hospital. A certified chemical test was completed and found Howell under the influence of a controlled substance. Howell was transported to the Marshall County Jail and incarcerated for resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, operating a vehicle while intoxicated, and possession of marijuana.

Culver Police were assisted by Marshall County Police, Argos Police, and Plymouth Police.
