County BuildingThe Marshall County Council meets Monday Morning at 9 a.m. in the second floor meeting room of the County Building.

Stan Klotz, president of the Marshall County Plan Commission will continue to seek approval for a part-time Code Enforcement Officer position.  In January the council voted 3-2-1 to send the job description to Waggoner, Irwin & Scheele for review and a recommendation of an hourly rate.  Bill Githens, Jim Masterson and Heath Thornton voted Yes, Jon Van Vactor and Judy Stone voted no and Penny Lukenbill abstained due to the fact that her husband is the attorney for the Plan Commission.

Emergency Manage Director Clyde Avery will request the County Council allow him to apply for the 2017 EMPG Salary Reimbursement Grant and Sheriff Matt Hassel is requesting permission to apply for a Public Safety Foundation grant from Firehouse Subs.

Commissioner Kurt Garner is to continue the discussion on raising the Cum Bridge rate back up to the maximum allowed by the state.

The County Council will also consider requests for transfers and additional appropriations as well as approval of the meeting minutes from February.

Under Council items is an ordinance to amend the 2018 Salary ordinance.

The County Council meeting is open to the public and comments and questions are welcome.
