MugShot_Wood, RyanPlymouth Police arrested a local man Saturday afternoon following a foot pursuit on the city’s south side.

About 12:30 Plymouth Assistant Police Chief Mark Owen told dispatch he was in a foot pursuit with a male subject from Family Express, heading north.     The suspect, 23 year old Ryan Wood of 1307 North Michigan Street ran into an apartment building.

Plymouth Police officers began a search of the building and located Ryan Wood hiding upstairs in a bedroom.  While searching him, officers found two plastic bags of suspected synthetic marijuana, syringes and a paraphernalia pipe.  Wood also had two active warrants from LaPorte and Berrien County for his arrest.

Ryan Wood was taken into custody and booked for Unlawful Possession of Syringe, Possession of Marijuana and Resisting Law Enforcement and held on a $3,000 cash bond.
