operation_roundup_logoOn Tuesday, January 23 the Marshall County REMC Operation Round Up board awarded 3 grants, totaling $5,500, to the following organizations:

Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana-Michiana received funding to help provide financial assistance to girls in grades k-12 in Marshall County so they can experience the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE). GSLE provides girl-led, girl-centered programs & activities that expand girls’ leadership abilities.

Marshall County Council on Aging, Inc.received funding to assist with the matching dollars for wheelchair equipped vehicles. Marshall County Council on Aging, Inc. provides transportation to the disabled and general public, information and referral to seniors and general public regarding services for seniors, disabled and their families.

REMC_RoundUP_4H Dog Club2018Marshall County 4-H Dog Club received funding to help replace old agility equipment used for 4-H training.  The 4-H Dog Club provides 4-H members a fun and hands-on learning experience that develops life skills. Members are also taught valuable information on how to properly care for animals.

The Operation Round Up program allows Marshall County REMC members to reach out to worthy causes in their community and work together to help others. Thank you to those members who participate in Operation Round and to the Marshall County Community Foundation for making these donations possible.  You have helped donate over $90,000 to organizations in the community!
