Don Kegarise, the artist, has a goal: – “to see the beauty in everything” and to make others aware of this beauty through his are. He will be the featured artist at Heartland Artist Galley until February 24th.
As a self-taught artist, Kegarise began drawing as a child. He was given his first oil paints at the age of 14 beginning his career in oils but has since worked in other media including pencil, pen and ink, colored pencil, watercolors and now acrylics. His works feature landscapes, old barns, farms, vehicles and buildings.
Don Kegarise’s personal philosophy is “to give back to the world more than I take.”
The community is invited to meet Don and view his paintings at an Open House this Sunday, February 4th from 1 to 4. The Heartland Gallery is located at 101 North Michigan Street in historic downtown Plymouth.
