Recently, State Representative Jack Jordan co-authored a bill that would help military students called to active duty.
Jordan said, “This legislation would ensure military college students who are called to active duty receive a tuition reimbursement, or the opportunity to re-enroll in courses. It would apply to all military personnel, including members of the Indiana National Guard and reserve branches, and those who are from another state and are attending an Indiana state college or university.”
This bill, HB 1047 would establish a streamlined process so Hoosiers who serve our nation can further their education when they return home.
Jordan said “This bill would also ensure any financial benefits the student may receive from the federal government is not counted against them in applying for financial aid at the state level.”
