bus_trip_logoThe Plymouth Park Department has announced their 2018 bus trips.

You must sign-up and pay for these trips in advance at the park office in Centennial Park.

A new adventure is in-store for January.  Instead of traveling outside of Plymouth the event will be at the Heartland Artist Gallery where participants will have the opportunity to experience acrylic pouring taught by Jayne Jacobson.  This event will begin at 10 a.m.  on Thursday, January 25th and take about 90 minutes.  Cost is $20 and covers all your materials.

Casino trips are a favorite of the Park Department bus trips and the first one will be on Monday, February 12th to the Gun Lake Casino in Wayland, Michigan. All casino trips are $25 for city residents and $27 for non-residents.  On this trip you will receive $10 in free slot play and a $10 food coupon for the buffet.  The bus will leave at 8 a.m. and return at 5 p.m.

On Wednesday, March 28th the park is taking a trip to Michigan City to tour the Barker Mansion and the shopping and lunch at the Lighthouse Outlet Mall.  Cost for these types of bus trips are $3 for city residents and $5 for non-residents for transportation.  There is an additional charge for the tour of $5 for seniors and $8 for others.  The bus will leave at 8:30 a.m. and return at 4 p.m.

April 12th it’s a trip to the Blue Chip Casino in Michigan City.  Participants will receive at $16 food coupon and the bus will depart at 8:30 a.m. and return around 5 p.m.

In May the bus travels to the Horseshoe Casino.  You will leave at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 8th and return about 7 p.m.  This trip includes a voucher for the buffet.

On June 13th the Plymouth Park Department will travel to the Flea Market at Shipshewana for a day of shopping.  The bus will leave at 8:15 a.m. and return on 4 p.m.

The bus trip on Wednesday, July 11th will be a tour of Wabash, IN.  You will visit the Historical Museum ($3) Roann Covered Bridge and Stockdale Mill Tour with a local historian.  Lunch will be at Charley Creek Inn ($10-$15).  The bus leaves at 8:15 and returns about 5:15.

On Wednesday, August 15th the bus will travel to Elkhart County for a visit at the RV Museum and a visit at Linton’s Enchanted Gardens.  Lunch is planned at Stacks Pancake House ($5-$10).  The bus will depart at 8:45 and return at 2:30.

September 14th the Plymouth Park Department takes a bus to the Ameristar Casino in East Chicago.  You will leave at 9 a.m. and return at 5 p.m. and a $10 food coupon is included in your cost.

The Taltree Arboretum and Gardens in Valparaiso will be the bus trip on October 10th.  The admission cost if $5 and an additional $5 if you want the behind the scenes tour.  Lunch will be at the Broadway Café ($5-$12).  The bus leaves at 8:30 and returns at 2:30.

The November 16th bus trip is the Essenhaus in Middlebury.  Enjoy the Tour of Trees and get your pies for Thanksgiving.  You will enjoy the lunch buffet ($16).  Bus departs at 8:45 and returns at around 2:30.

The final trip of 2018 will be a bus trip to the Four Winds Casino in South Bend.  The bus will leave at 9 a.m. and return around 4 p.m.
