Wednesday evening Plymouth Police Chief Dave Bacon told the Board of Public Works and Safety two new police officers will start to work on January 8th.
David Finn from Mishawaka and Nicholas Kindig of Mentone will start the job next week and each will be teamed up with a training officer who will be with them for several weeks. Later in 2018 the two will attend the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy for 15 weeks.
Finn and Kindig will replace Det. Cox who retired in April and Sgt. Gary Cleveland who retired in August. With these two new officers the Plymouth Police Department will be back up to full staff of 24 officers.
