Plymouth Color Logo2014Plymouth Street Superintendent Jim Marquardt opened fuel and street material bids for the 2018 during Wednesday night’s meeting.

Fuel bids were received from Co Alliance of Avon and Ceres Solutions of Rensselaer. Both companies offered fixed bids for gasoline and diesel.  Gasoline bids including tax and inspection ranged from $2.36 to $2.63. Fixed diesel rates ranged from $2.63 to $2.78.

Marquardt asked to have the bids taken under advisement for review.  He said he will watch fuel rates for the next couple of weeks and when he sees a price he likes he will call and set the bid.

The only company to offer a bid for street materials was Irvin Materials Inc. of Peru.  While the city was seeking bids for five separate items, IMI only bid on three: ice sand, fill sand and crushed limestone #53’s and 73’s.  IMI didn’t bid on coarse aggregate and fill dirt.  The bids received were taken under advisement.
