ParkDepartmentEarlier this month the Plymouth Park Board approved the 2018 Fee Schedule.  The only change was in the weekday special (8a.m.-5 p.m.) which used to run Monday through Friday, it’s now Monday through Thursday.    Also highlighted was a provision for City Employees.  They can rent the Webster Center, Conservation Club House, Price’s Memorial park, Young Amphitheater or River Park Square areas for half price, still paying the full deposit amount.

Also approved was the third addendum for the contract with the Plymouth Community School Corporation for Nixon Field. Park Board President, Dave Morrow said, “Basically this is moving their payment back to January 2018.”

Park Superintendent Hite said the second addendum called for them to pay in September but the rehabilitation project on Nixon Field didn’t get started this fall like anticipated due to weather and complications.    The school is responsible for $25,000 on the rehab project.  Hite said, “Instead of us keeping it in the gift fund, it was helpful to the school to go ahead and move it to 2018.”

Under news business Superintendent Hite said, “Every year we try to move $10,000 from the Non-Reverting Operating budget to the Non-Reverting Capital Improvement budget, which is basically why this budget was originated.”  He said the Clerk Treasurer and he were able to move the $10,000 this year.  He said they might also be able to move more than $10,000 in 2018.
