A slide-off accident in the area of US 31 and US 6 Sunday morning ended with a South Bend woman being booked into the Marshall County Jail.
About 5:30 Sunday morning the Marshall County police officers were dispatched to the area for a slide off into the field.
Officer Wozniak located a black 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer which had traveled off the exit ramp for US 6 and was approximately 30 yards off the roadway. He located a female sleeping in the back seat of the vehicle. 40 year old Melissa Orta was found to be in possession of marijuana. She was taken to the Marshall County Jail and held on a $500 cash bond.
