Triton Elementary School students and staff honored local veterans with special programs on Friday morning, November 10th.
At the elementary school, Cub Scout Troop 251 presented and retired the Colors for the program. The fifth and sixth graders sang a tribute to the armed forces and a few 6th grade students shared writings summarizing interviews they had conducted with veterans they know. Honored Guest and special speaker was Mr. Steve Beam, Master Chief Petty Officer United States Navy- Retired from Plymouth.
The whole school sang “The Star Spangled Banner” and “God Bless the USA”.
The program concluded with all students filing by the many veteran guests in attendance and thanking them for their service.
