Veterans-Day_honoring allThe annual Veterans Day ceremony on the Marshall County Court House lawn will happen this Saturday, November 11th at 11 a.m.

The American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Disabled American Veterans will join forces to host the program.

This year Ed Pullen a WWII and Korean War veteran will be the guest speaker.  Also participating will be Reverend Tom Anders of the Plymouth Church of the Brethren.

The joint VFW, DAV and American Legion firing squad will conduct a 21-gun salute and members of the various wars will lay wreaths at the county’s War Memorial.

Special music for the ceremony will be tenor Brian Liechty, a member of the Maxinkuckee Singers.  Liechty will sing “Proud to be an America/Good Bless the USA”.

At the conclusion of the ceremony Liechty and Tom Boys will lead the crowd in singing “God Bless America.”
