Yes, it may only be the end of September but Operation Quiet Comfort is in full preparation for their Holiday shipment! They have been purchasing items throughout the year and volunteers have been busy sewing Christmas stockings to send to those who won’t be home for the holidays!
Operation Quiet Comfort has scheduled their annual holiday packing for Saturday, October 28 at the home of Ken and Jan Houin on 13th Road west of Plymouth. They plan to pack 1500 plus Christmas stockings!
Each $10 sponsorship fills a Christmas stocking with: a beef stick & granola bar, hand and toe warmers, assorted seasonal goodies, a pair of white socks, a SPAWAR calling card and specially written holiday cards from OQC volunteers. PLEASE Note: OQC is collecting money, not items for the stockings
Donations can be made via PayPal or by check mailed to

NOTE: Holiday in the spubject
Thousands of Christmas cards from young and old alike are needed because they put 3 cards in each stocking and top off each box with a bag of 20-30 cards for the troops to share! These cards can be store bought or home made. NO glitter!
Please do not put the cards in envelopes but if you buy cards you can send the blank envelopes as we use those throughout the year in our regular shipments.
If you are local to Plymouth you can drop cards or your $10 donation to sponsor a Christmas Stocking at WTCA Radio Station, A.S.K. for Flowers or The Pilot News office.
