Legion_Sheriff's K9At the combined meeting of the American Legion Post 27 on September 26th; the Legion members, the Ladies Auxiliary members and the Sons of the Legion members presented checks to the Plymouth Police Department K-9 program and the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department K-9 program.  Each program was presented with a check for $3000 to help fund their respective programs.

The members of the Post truly appreciate the work that these Departments do to protect the safety and well-being of our citizens and wanted to show their support.

Legion_PlyPD K9According to Chief Bacon, “these funds will be a huge help when we have to replace Jax next year.  We really appreciate the American Legion and their members for this wonderful donation!”

Accepting for the City of Plymouth were; K-9 Officer John Weir and his partner Jax, Chief David Bacon and Mayor Mark Senter.  Accepting for the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was Sheriff Matt Hassel.
