The Plymouth Street Department will begin their curb-side leaf pick-up program on October 16th.
For the next few weeks, city employees will canvas the city several times to sweep up leaves that have been raked to the curb. The leaf machine does not go down the alley or into any of the manufactured housing parks in the city so you must bring the leaves to the curb, but NOT into the street.
Leafe pick-up in the City of Plymouth is only in the fall. There is NO leaf pick-up in the spring so the best idea is to rake your leaves out early and let the street department dispose of them for you. Remember, there is NO leaf burning in the city limits.
Leaf pick-up is scheduled to be completed by November 20th, weather permitting. If you have leaves for pick-up after this date they must be bagged and put at the curb for pick-up in the fall and spring. Any loose leaves and yard waste not in a container will not be picked-up by the city.
As a reminder, the City Street Department does not pick up whole trees or clean up after contractors.
