While more than 100 people attended Tuesday’s public hearing on INDOT’s proposal to install J-Turns on US 31 at State Road 10 and Dewey Street, and 19 voiced their opposition to the project, there’s still time for more people to let the state know their thoughts.
Public comments can be submitted until Friday, October 6th. There are two ways to let INDOT know you feelings and get them into the official transcript. You can mail your comments to INDOT Office of Public Involvement 1000 North Senator Avenue Room N642 Indianapolis, IN 46204 or INDOT LaPorte District Customer Service Center 315 E. Boyd Boulevard LaPorte, IN 46350. Comments can also be emailed to LaPorteDistrictCommunications@indot.in.gov or the Indianapolis office of INDOT at rclark@indot.in.gov.
All comments submitted will be reviewed, evaluated and given full consideration during the decision making process. They will also become part of the public record.
