Police HandcuffsSunday evening, September 17th about 10 after 8 Plymouth Police were dispatched to Broadway Street in reference to a battery that had occurred.

Officer Jeremy Enyart discovered that the victim had been battered while at a friend’s home on North Michigan Street. The victim had obvious physical injuries and was transported by Plymouth EMS to the emergency room for further examination.

The officer located the suspect, 22 year old Matthew R. Gaines at his residence at 826 North Michigan Street and transported him to the Marshall County Jail where he was lodged for Battery Resulting in Bodily Injury and held on a $750.00 cash bond.
