PlymouthWesleyanPastor Ollie from the Plymouth Wesleyan Church appeared before the Marshall County Commissioners on Monday to seek approval to use the county roads for the 3rd Annual Responder Run in September.

Dongell said the race is a fundraiser for the emergency responders in Plymouth: Plymouth Fire, Plymouth Police and the Sheriff’s Department. The last two years they have been able to donate $1,000 to each department.

This year’s Responder Run will take place on Saturday, September 16th and will start and finish at the Wesleyan Church on South Michigan Street.  Runners will take off from the church and head south to 12th Road and then west, past the Plymouth Speedway to the railroad tracks where they will turn around and back-tract to the church.

The commissioners unanimously approved the request although when asked if the request could be granted for a couple of years they said plans sometimes change and they prefer a request be made annually.
