marijuana-arrest-handcuffsA Tippecanoe man was stopped for speeding Saturday morning, May 13th just before 6 by Bourbon Police.

Officer Matt Geifer stopped the vehicle at State Road 331 and 11th Road for traveling at 85 mph in a posted 55 mph speed zone.  The driver, 21year old Michael Carver had been drinking and took a field sobriety test and a certified breath test which showed he was above the legal limit of .08%.  Bourbon Police also found a small bag of a green leafy substance that tested positive for marijuana.

Carver was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in for Possession of Marijuana and Operating a vehicle While Intoxicated Endangering a Person.  He was held on a $1,500 cash bond that was paid about 8 p.m. Saturday and he was released with a May 23rd court date in Marshall Superior Court II.
