County Building_2The Marshall County Commissioners have a lengthy agenda for their meeting (Monday, this) morning.

Kurt Carlson from the Bowen Center will be on hand to discuss their plans for Shady Rest.  Last month he confirmed with WTCA that they will be closing the facility and relocating the clients who are currently living there.  Plans are to have all of them moved by July 1st.  The Bowen Center has an agreement with the County that reverts the facility back to the county if it ceased to operate.

Also on the agenda is the County Highway Department report, EMA and Prosecutor for grant requests, attorney report and Sheriff’s Hassel’s request for a WorkOne intern.

Jane Fuents from Insorce will discuss 1st Responders training and Pastor Olli Dongell from the Wesleyan Church will seek approval for the benefit race.  Community Corrections is seeking a revised budget grant and MACOG will discuss data analysis for road testing.

The Commissioner’s meeting begins at 9:30 in the second floor meeting room of the County Building. Public comments and questions are always welcome.
