The Spring LJH Digital Storm Film Festival will be held Thursday, May 11, at 6:30 in the LJH auditorium. This is the second festival this year featuring Mass Media II students at Lincoln Junior High. Admission is free and open to the public.
Seven films will be presented, which were written, produced, and edited by Mass Media II students at Lincoln Junior High during the past two months. Most of the production was done during the school day, but as you will see, production required work outside of the school day as well.
In addition to the films, students produced radio commercials, trailers, and digital advertisements for their films. These can be found on the LJH Digital Storm website under Film Festival. The hashtag for the evening is #digitalstormfilmfestival2017
After a brief introduction to the festival, each of the films will be shown, followed by an award ceremony in which the films will be recognized for excellence in the categories of:
BEST FILM EDITING
BEST VISUAL EFFECTS
BEST SOUND EDITING
BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR
BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS
Additionally, LJH Digital Storm sponsors will be recognized for their contributions and support of the Digital Storm program. With their support, students have had the opportunity to gain real-world experiences in the media industry, such as on-location commercial production, which will be featured throughout the evening as well.
Student DJ’s will be live during the festival with student interviews and more throughout the evening. Tune in to Storm Radio and listen live to the event. STORM RADIO
