ParkDepartmentThe Plymouth Park Board handled a number of requests during their meeting on Monday.

The board approved a contract with the LifePlex for group usage during Summer Day Camp.  Kids enrolled in the day camp at the park will be able to go to the LifePlex every Tuesday and Thursday from 12:30 to 5:30 and use the facilities” rock wall, racquetball courts, swimming pool and gymnasium at a cost of $3 per child each day.  The LifePlex contract requires a minimum of 13 kids per day.

Recreation Director Morgan Koops said local businesses are sponsoring Day Camp and will cover the cost of kids to participate.  Sponsors so far this year include: CTE Solutions, Centier Bank, Dr. Record, TCU Insurance, Apex Therapy, 1ST Source Bank, Oliver Ford, People’s Drug Store, Johnson Danielson Funeral Home and First Federal Savings Bank.

A contract for John Dudley to perform for the Mother/Son Magic Breakfast Show was approved at a cost of $250.

The Plymouth Park Board approved a request for the Boys and Girls Club to bring kids to the city pool on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons for a one-time fee of $300.  The board also approved requests to use River Park Square on June 29th for Bubble Day in the Park sponsored by the Plymouth Public Library and a cruise-in with Michiana Car Scene on Friday, May 29th from 5 to 10 p.m.
