Dangerous Side of TechnologyAn upcoming event will focus on teens and the dangers of technology.

The Triton School Corporation is hosting the free event at Triton High School. The event will take place on Wednesday, May 3 from 7:00 to 8:30 in the school’s auditorium.

The presenter at the event is Crista Miller. She is a Fort Wayne resident who has a personal connection with human trafficking. She will share her story about experiences her family had that resulted from her daughter’s use of technology.

She will be joined by Detective Jeffrey Robertson, an FBI special agent, and Chris McCarthy from the Fort Wayne Police Department’s Human Trafficking Task Force.

“The bad guys are out there and are ready to prey on our children. By increasing our awareness of the dangerous side of technology, we can help families avoid the pain experienced by Crista and her family,” said Superintendent Donna Burroughs.

Students 13 years of age and older are encouraged to accompany their parent/guardian. The general public from around the county is invited.  Pizza will be served in the Triton High School Cafeteria at 6:30 before the meeting.
