Argos Superintendent 5-1-17Mr. Ned Speicher will join the Argos Community Schools as Superintendent of Schools beginning on July 1.

Mr. Speicher completed his undergraduate and Master’s Degree work at Manchester College and was awarded an Ed.S. Degree in school administration from Indiana University, Bloomington in 1986.

He has served Indiana school corporations as a teacher, principal, assistant superintendent and superintendent and recently retired after ten years of service as Superintendent of Schools from the Rensselaer Central Schools Corporation.

Prior to that assignment, Mr. Speicher led the Frankton-Lapel Community Schools for 10 years as their superintendent. Mr. Speicher was assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction at Wa-Nee Community Schools for nine years. He also served as high school principal for four years, middle school principal for two years and elementary principal for four years all in the Wa-Nee school corporation.

He has taught and coached at the elementary and middle school levels.

Mr. Speicher documents a well-developed expertise in Indiana public school finance, facilities maintenance and management, as well as success in growing student achievement, technology implementation into classroom instruction and special education programming.

Selected from a quality pool of candidates by the Board of School Trustees, his vast experience and acquired wisdom will help guide the future of the Argos Community Schools.
