in-st-dept-health-logoThe Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) is launching a series of monthly videos to keep Hoosiers informed of public health observances, issues and trends throughout the state.

The monthly Pulse video series will be posted on the ISDH YouTube channel and linked to from the agency’s Facebook and Twitter accounts. The first video discusses the importance of National Minority Health Month and the way health disparities impact different populations in Indiana. It features Antoniette Holt, director of the ISDH Office of Minority Health.

“The more people know about public health, the easier it is to make informed decisions about ways to keep our families and communities healthy,” said Indiana State Health Commissioner Jerome Adams, M.D., M.P.H. “I hope these videos educate residents about the health issues affecting our state and ways they can help prevent disease.”

The first video in the Pulse webcast is posted at https://youtu.be/-68L7g5Bkw4. Future topics will include men’s health, summer safety and ways to increase physical activity.
