The Wetland Mitigation Plan for the Hickory Road Bridge was submitted to IDEM for final review mid March. DZL anticipates submitting the final mitigation plan in April. Cardno has been authorized to proceed with the development of the final mitigation plan which should be ready early in April.
Laurie Johnson from DLS told the commissioners on Monday the archaeological report is complete and approved by INDOT with no sites found in the mitigation site at the end of South Walnut and Plum Streets. There were also no properties recommended to be historic and no impact to bat species moving the project forward.
The County is working with the City of Plymouth to build a wetland mitigation site on city property for the Hickory Road Bridge project.
Johnson said the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Army Corps of Engineers and Indiana Department of Environmental Management permits are on hold until the final wetland mitigation plan is submitted.
