A traffic stop last Thursday by county police ended with a Plymouth man going to jail.
On March 16, at approximately 11:20 at night an officer with the Marshall County Police Department stopped a vehicle on Harrison Street near Center Street. During the course of the stop it was determined that the driver, 32 year old Philip Shriver of Plymouth was driving with a suspended license after having a prior conviction.
Shriver was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine, syringes, and other paraphernalia. He was lodged into the Marshall County Jail.
Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
