Crash_Jefferson&Walnut_intersection2It was a tense situation yesterday afternoon about 3:30 when the County Dispatch Center sent Plymouth Police, Fire and EMS to the southeast corner of Jefferson and Walnut Streets for a vehicle into a building.

Crash_Jefferson&Walnut_truckThe incident occurred when a 1998 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 17 year old Chase Clarkson of Plymouth attempted to cross Jefferson Street, south bound, and pulled into the path of a 2011 Jeep Wrangler drive by 51 year old Barbara Wray of Warsaw who was east bound on Jefferson Street.

Crash_Jefferson&Walnut_jeepClarkson told Officer Shanna Gilmer he didn’t see the Jeep prior to crossing Jefferson Street.  The impact of the collision sent the pick-up truck into the corner of the apartment building at 225 West Jefferson Street.
