“Walking in a Winter Wonderland” is what it feels like during Culver’s Winter Festival brought to you by Culver Chamber of Commerce. It takes place over the weekend of February 10-12.
Friday evening from 5-8 pm, Come shop the Cupids Crawl which offers great deals at our local shops while touring the town to see the Ice Sculptures on display. Cap your evening off with an Ugly Snowsuit Competition at Lakehouse Grille
Saturday, start your morning off with Cupids Dash 5K, 2.5K fun run, or yoga at the beach lodge and a pancake breakfast at the Train Depot.
Who doesn’t like to see a big chunk of ice turned into something spectacular? You can watch ice blocks being carved into masterpieces all day Saturday.
Is sledding and ice skating more your thing? Kids (and kids at heart!) will fill the town park to fly down a huge sledding mound and can ice skate right on the lake all weekend! Saturday at 6:30 pm join us for a Glow Skate, S’mores, Hot Chocolate and Bonfire at the Beach Lodge. Skates and sleds will be available for those who don’t have their own.
Ever thought of learning to ice fish? Cabelas Free Kids Fishing Camp is scheduled from 11-1 Saturday.
Have you ever seen a Polar Plunge? Come watch these brave men and women dive into the ice cold water of Lake Maxinkuckee for charity Sunday at 2 pm.
Winter Fest concludes Sunday with the North American Ice Fishing Tournament sponsored by Marshall County Tourism and begins at 8 am. Come watch the teams weigh in their “Catch of the Day” beginning at 1 pm.
